RUGBY?

RFU

STATS

MY

STATS

Rugby has an injury rate of 96.7 per 1000 occasions which is the highest risk in all sport in the UK.

Rugby had greater occurrence of substantive injury incidents, and these kept the player out of sport.

RFU showed concussion occured 21.1 times per 1000hrs of training making it the most common injury

My research replicated the RFU's findings. In the game I watched concussion was the most reoccuring injury

The main reasons for the players neglecting the protective equipment were; uncomfortable, negative stigma, and additional weight

Through interviews with existing players I tried to identify why players refuse or neglect to where player protection
